Don’t buy a “mobile crushing plant” until you answer these four things

Last month a buyer wrote: need mobile crushing plant, best price. That’s it. No rock type. No finished size. No port. We could have sent him three random photos and hoped. We didn’t.

Mobile crushing plant sounds specific. It isn’t. Some people mean a jaw on tracks. Some mean jaw + cone + screens as one train. Some just mean “not bolted to a concrete foundation.” If you leave it vague, the quote you get will match whatever is sitting in someone’s yard that week — not necessarily your quarry.

Don’t buy a “mobile crushing plant” until you answer these four things 1

What we actually need from you

Rock first. Limestone and granite are not the same conversation. Then feed size — roughly, from the face or from a dump truck. Then what you sell: 0–5, 5–10, 10–20, or whatever your local market pays for. And real tons per hour, not the number from a brochure you liked on Facebook.

Also: how often does this line move? Every two weeks? Twice a year? If it barely moves, paying for a full mobile chassis can be silly money. We’ve seen sites better served by a wheel-mounted setup that relocates with a lowbed once in a while. Not glamorous. Works.

Jaw, then the rest

Big feed usually wants a jaw up front. After that it depends. Hard abrasive rock — cone is often the boring correct answer for secondary. Softer stone or demo waste — impact can be fine, until blow bars start disappearing and someone asks why “cheap plant” got expensive.
Screens get ignored in chat and then kill capacity on site. I’ve watched crushers sit healthy while the screen deck chokes and everyone blames “the Chinese machine.” Check recirculation. Check belt widths. If the seller only wants to talk crusher brand, nudge them back to the screen.

Used gear — what I look at on video

Welds around the crusher feet. How much life is left on jaws or mantles. Whether the control box looks like it lived outdoors in rain. Conveyor rollers that scream. If they can run even a short flow test, take it. Parked photos of a washed plant hide almost everything.
Shipping is ugly on these. Crates, flat racks, bits removed, labels that have to match. Wrong label = port headache. If you also need a loader or excavator to feed the plant, say it in the first message. One project, one loading plan. Messy otherwise.

Email us rock / sizes / TPH / port. We’ll tell you if what you asked for is realistic or if you’re about to buy the wrong shape of iron. Lizhihang — www.lzhexcavator.com — 17505697181@163.com
